Brown vs Bored of hearing about Harvard education

Jun 30 2010 11:11AM

Dear Mr Kimble,

It has come to our attention that you have besmirched the fine reputation of our client Mr Curtin.

Apparently on the evening of June 28, the defendant was on third base in the last inning whilst you were attempting to reach base safely. When your desired objective was not achieved the possibility of avoiding a negative impact to your personal statistics(BA) became your focus.

Our client did not tag up, run home and thus a sacrifice fly was not granted costing the team very little, but apparently much to your personal self worth. The quote has been shared back to my client "Harvard Arrogance".

I must ask you Mr Kimble, as a Brown Graduate, are you familiar with the term "Hanlon's Razor". It goes something like this - "Never attribute malice, when Incompetence will suffice". The lack of tagging up had much more to do with Burlington Ignorance(not knowing the outs) than the accused Harvard
Arrogance.

For further clarification I will define the following:

Harvard Ignorance - Brown is an Ivy League school ?

Harvard Arrogance - not apologizing for not tagging up and hiding behind some stupid theory and calling it a razor

Burlington Arrogance - Not accepting a Billerica Little League golf pullover from a friend who is on their board

Burlington Ignorance - Not knowing the number of outs while on third base

So clearly we have transposed the terms. And for the record my client does apologize for not tagging up since you were clearly over matched by the pitcher and I am sure you were thrilled just to make contact let alone reach the outfield :)

If this does go to court I suggest it be dubbed "Brown vs Bored of hearing about Harvard education".

And yes I did turn down a Billerica Baseball pullover after golf yesterday morning...

Saugus Boys Secure Title for MetroSox

Oct 1 2009 3:41PM

The Metro Red Sox won their third Masters title in a row, this time with the much needed support of the Boys from Saugus.  Merlina, Nicolo, and Capozzi worked their bribery, extortion, corruption, graft, and embezzlement in varying ways to secure the title.

In addition, the Sox bats destroyed opposing pitching, belting out 250 hits in 17 games for a .436 average and a league record 208 runs. Details for a Rolling Rally to the Aurora Club will be announced soon.

Pretzels Safe At Home

Aug 4 2009 8:38AM

The Metro Red Sox remained unbeaten after a close 6-3 game over the Billerica Indians.  Glenn Watson didn't have his best stuff but hung in there for the win.  A web gem by Pete Nicolo ended the Indians one big rally.

After the game, there were snacks and salsa left on home plate.  Although no one saw who left it there, the Locke Middle School surveillance cameras picked up the grainy image below.  Coach Grassia issued a statement that the pretzel caper is a closed issue and no further comment or suspensions will be discussed.
